I won't say that I don't love surprises (a good twist can energize you like nothing else) but I definitely don't think something being predictable means it's bad.

One of my favorite games (The Last of Us) is predictable as hell and yet I found it to be so well written and executed that I didn't in the least mind. If the media is good I don't see why it matters.

Because frankly even if there is a twist, that doesn't mean it's going to be a decent one. I would rather a predictable but excellent story then one that's shocking but not actually fulfilling.
