See, I think if SPN hadn't been forced to continue past that because of CW being greedy, Sam and Dean both would've been sucked into Hell. Michael wouldn't have taken over Adam, he would've taken Dean, they would've fought and then ended up in that cage. I fully believe that was Kripke's final vision for this world, and it would've been dark and twisted and almost perfect, and I'm still a little sad we didn't get it.

Well at least they would be together. I suspect the reason Kripke wanted Dean to live is because he was fully human and he thinks humans deserve life. Also he is the embodiment of the all american manly man.

Sam is a monster and therefore it's more if he burns in hell.
