Don't care if you want to post in here, this is for me.

So to the woman in the super ironic "Cosplay is not consent" T-shirt who Grabbed. My. Cunt. for her picture today: You can fuck right off with that shit. You and the women like you are by far the worst thing I have to deal with in cons. I've been doing slutty cosplay for years, and I would much rather have guys who take my photo without asking, or guys doing the creepy floating arm, or any of the socially awkward shit guys do at conventions, I would rather have that every day of my life if it meant I would never have to pose for a photo with some fucking entitled bitch (yes, I know bad word I'm sorry, but ass-hole is to mild) thinking she can grab my tits, my ass, and apparently now my cunt is fair game. I hope my eternal bitch-face in that photo haunts you. I hope you realise that being a woman gives you no entitlements to my body. I hope you realise the irony of your fucking T-shirt. But you won't. Because consent is something guys have to worry about, isn't it? Not you. No never fucking you. You're a woman, so of course you just feel free to do what you want to other women.

Not anon you are referring to, but as someone who went to several parties that were like 90% women (I went to a women's college), women can be just as entitled as men. I've had my breasts and butt grabbed. I had one girl who would not stop touching me even after being asked several times (even when I sat as far away from her as possible she would stretch her leg out to rub her foot up and down my leg).

Thankfully no one ever grabbed my vagina outright.

You don't know what you're spouting. There's nothing considered misogynist, even in feminism, about using "cunt" to refer to the body part. Especially your own. Lots of women do it as a feminist statement.

well to be honest, the cosplay is not consent is about protecting womens bodies from men. do women need to be protected from other women? maybe sometimes yes, it's much rarer but it does happen. but that's a different movement that we might need. you cant fight every enemy at the same time and right now women at cons are at a far greater risk from those "socially awkward shit guys" you're defending than the one or two women with boundary issues.

We bought some hard cider last week. Half were mine, half my dad's. I had one bottle left of my part, but I haven't been able to drink on account of taking vicodin. My dad drank the last bottle. He also ate my oreos.

I know those can all be replaced, but it is the principal. And plus, they are away for the weekend and I have no oreos to enjoy.

I feel that OP. Aside from just getting bored of the scene, that was one of the reasons I quit that hobby.

It sucks and I wish security took that shit more seriously... although, who knows, maybe they do these days.

fact is cons are not about safety. the con rules are not about making you safe. con security is not about making people any safer because rapists don't do things in front of the security.

everything we have in place at conventions is so we /feel/ safe, and the fact is men just make people feel less safe than women. don't know if it's justified, but it's the way it is.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but women who cross lines just aren't a priority right now. Men are a far far bigger danger to women, and no-one has the resources to spend combating something that isn't a massive social problem. When men are under control we'll be able to focus on these types of attitudes, but for now we just have to take some personal responsibility.
