Somebody is definitely going to be dickish about it but at the same time, you know, enthusing the fuck out of some new fandom is great and one of the things that ties us together so I say go for it

Archer is great! But yeah, people can be kind of dickish sometimes about fandoms they consider to be old/older. It's a special kind of snobbishness, where if you weren't there when the fandom was hot, people whine stuff like, "Hasn't this show been out for ages?" or "What's with all the ancient fandom secrets?"
