I say it's worth a shot, I'd try and figure out what it is a little more closely to make sure it's edible. I'm not one for plants much. I kill mine.

I am, like, 99% sure that all varieties of roses are edible as long as they haven't been sprayed with anything toxic.

(op) I've checked for toxic rosaceae species and it's not one of them, not even close, and we don't use pesticides, but not toxic that doesn't make them nutritious and/or tasty. I don't know how I could make sure...
