I especially miss metas. It's nice to not just consume the things you watch/read but to talk about them.

And in-depth episode reviews, or episode discussion posts in communities. I liked the House ones back in the day.

The House ones were great. It was so nice to analyse each new episode until the new one finally came out. And in House there was so much psychological stuff going on with the characters, I always found some new angle to the story I hadn't considered until then.

Though I have to admit that my involvement in the threads mostly consisted of dumb jokes.

But House offered opportunity for dumb jokes too, so it really sounds like a win-win-situation.

Ah, I miss this show too! It was so different compared to anything else airing at that time. (Hard to believe with all those Sherlocks around today.)

...In the Flesh, you mean?!?!?!?! I so rarely run into people who know of it, much less loved it or liked it. This pleases me! (Have we discussed it before? God, I love that show.)

It was a constant stream of "Gonna floor you with unpleasant, heavy emotions" but it was excellent all the same. And yes, certainly different.

Yeah, same. There are metas on tumblr, but I hate that you can't effectively respond to any of the points or actually get a discussion going about the ideas raised in it.
