Good luck losing weight if that's what you want to do. But I find it kind of depressing that just being overweight can cause someone to be seen as an "annoying Tumblr queen" for having dyed hair, while apparently a thin person with dyed hair isn't annoying. :/

It's just stereotypes really.

It's depressing but not surprising anymore.

depressing, and especially ironic considering it's Tumblr

Yea, if OP wants to lose weight I wish them luck, but the rest of the secret kind of stumps me. I don't see why being overweight has anything to do with tumblr, or dyed hair, or why being overweight would be a 'disservice' to the character or why OP couldn't be beautiful and be overweight.

Like, I get that taste varies a lot, and I get that being thin is generally seen as more attractive and socially acceptable, but that wording gave me pause. (And made me a bit sad.)

I don't call 'troll' often (and I don't think this has to be a troll, I'm sure there are people who think this), but I do wonder if this secret was posted with the intention of causing wank.

yeah. I can't help but think that overweight people have some issue with self-control, which I admit is probably an unfair judgment... but having dyed hair implies being well-kempt to me.
It requires self care and making some effort, which is honestly something I appreciate on others.

That applies to overweight people as well, so I never got the negative "fat and dyed hair" stereotype.

overweight people have some issue with self-control

It's honestly an over-generalisation.

This. Le sigh.
