oh, and by forced, I mean a lot of things remind me of the more trendy "catchphrases"(??) you might find on tumblr, like the constant referring to yourself or interests as garbage, etc.

Alphys is adorable.
I mean I love Undertale, but she is far from being the worst thing about the game imo.

that's true, but napstablook is a far more minor character and you're not forced to listen to them like you are with alphys. and while I don't personally mind her, a lot of people also dislike her because of... plot reasons.
