This fucking cough that won't go away. It's high in the back of the throat and tickles.

That one is a bitch.

I have fond memories (sarcasm there) of a similar sensation that happened one time I was in hospital for surgery. A tube that went down my throat managed tear up the surface of my throat a bit and for a few days after I was wheezing bad because of loose esophagus skin. The wheezing was bad enough the I had a couple of nights I had to sleep with my MP3 player going to drown it out.

Though that is a very specific and uncommon occurrence, but it felt similar to a ticklish cough.
