Okay but like. Seriously. Why is the English speaking world so bad at political nomenclature. I mean like, look at the Liberal Democrats in the UK, the Democratic Party in the US, the Liberal Party of Australia, the Liberal Party of Canada, and the New Democratic Party of Canada and tell me how the fuck anyone is supposed to make sense of that.

We need to get together and work out exactly what we're trying to do with this language here. Maybe we can figure out how it came to pass that 'modern' can refer to like five different periods, too.

It doesn't really seem like a big deal to me? You can always research the details! I mean, at least we're not being given a choice between, like, the Apricot-Grapefruit Party vs. the Peppermint Patty Party.
