I dye my hair bright colours and keenly notice others who do, can't say I've seen a correlation between high BMI and bright hair colour. Sounds more like confirmation bias wrt fat women stepping out of the line of "invisible and ashamed".

No, it's just that on tumblr, a lot of the really obnoxious and stupid sjws tend to be fat girls with brightly coloured hair.
And they are usually the kind of fat chicks who take body positivity to the next shit-stupid level of attacking people who are thin and attacking fat people who want to lose weight as traitors to the cause or some shit (the latter having happened to me and it was no surprise that the same people who attacked me had an overabundance of selfies. Guess what most of them looked like.)

So it's basically: Not every fat girl with brightly coloured hair is an aggressive asshole sjw on tumblr but aggressive asshole sjws on tumbr are very often fat chicks with brightly coloured hair.

Brightly colored hair is pretty trendy right now, regardless of size or temperament...
