The replies to this thread are making me really glad I'm not rich. I don't need excessive amounts of money, I need to not want to kill myself because everyone hates me for something I can't control (like how much money my parents have).

If you were rich you wouldn't care about the opinions of the people in this thread. You'd never even talk to or hear from them. Because we're all pools, and the rich don't care about that sort of thing.

Exactly. We as a society are geared towards hating the poor and blaming poor people for problems out of their control.

We can't ALL be lazy and shiftless.

Okay seriously? I think very few people want to kill themselves over their parents having money versus wanting to kill themselves over being poor, being gay, being trans, being a minority, etc.
