I think when I was younger I assumed Harry was near-sighted because he wore them all day, whereas magnification lenses for short distance are usually just for doing close-up tasks.

I remember my mind being blown about how many fucking leaves there were on trees. There's so many! Crazy!

Wish we could see more than some skewed "able / not-able" binary - there is SUCH a wide variety of capabilities and limitations of the physically impaired.

Yes. Yesssss.
I am pretty self-conscious about chair to wheelchair transfers in public because I stand up and people stare at me like I am performing a miracle or I'm a welfare scammer. It never occurred to them that I had any functionality in my legs.

Then on the other side of things, there are people who have no lower limb functionality, who can do things that I can't do. I will probably never be strong enough to play a competitive sport again. I can't push myself to the end of my own street. I can't work or live independently. Yet, I am by default "less disabled" because I can stand in most people's minds.

I think if we had a wider range of ability levels shown in mainstream media, it wouldn't be so shocking or confusing to people I encounter in public.
