18. I had always shipped them secretly for a while and tried my best to avoid admitting that. As the game went on, though, I just couldn't keep my mouth shut about them. XD I love that pairing!

52. Easily one of the best stories I have ever seen put together. I love this series so much. :O

I've noticed the lack of fandom for this and I seriously cannot understand why. :Oa
It's so well written. It might be slow paced for some, but I thought it was brilliantly done. :/

I agree completely! It really annoys me that some people won't give it a chance because it's too 'slow'. If it was a fast-paced story I don't think it would've been so effective in keeping suspense.

I'm actually amazed there's other Monster fans out there, when I finished the manga/anime, I tried to find other fans but found absolutely nothing :/
You'd think if the crappy Shonen series' can get huge fandoms over somewhat cliche stories then Monster would actually have a MASSIVE fandom. But alas, it doesn't. Which is a shame, I really thought the story was brilliant.

I consider it to be perfectly paced, honestly. It flowed nicely and it didn't seem at all slow. Every episode was needed and I was also impressed that the manga is exactly the same. Meaning neither include filler stuff. I loved it for touching on psychology and how well it examined the characters, too.

I try and recommend this series as much as I can but everyone seems to not be able to get into it. While I DO like many other series (though I am mostly a gamer) I just cannot deny how incredibly unique Monster is. There truly is nothing else like it. I always describe it as the most realistic anime/manga series out there and even recommend it to non-anime/manga fans.

I guess what happens is that people tend to get into it, consider it slow, THEN notice the episode count is 70+ and assume it's going to fall apart so they don't bother to watch it. And, yes, that is a shame. :/

No need to worry about going on like that! I agree completely.
