For a terrible scene in a good movie, I hate the scene with Denethor eating in LOTR.

For a good scene in a terrible movie, I liked the scene where Bilbo and Smaug were talking.

Do you think the Denethor scene is terrible because it was terrible or because it was gross? Because it was really fucking gross but I think it sort of showed what kind of character he was.

Mostly because it was gross but also because it was in the line of terrible scenes for Denethor that showed how little PJ understood the character.

There wasn't a whole lot that I liked about DOS, but the Bilbo and Smaug scene was perfect.

And I felt so-so about a lot of BOFA too, but all the Bilbo and Thorin scenes made it all worthwhile.

As for AUJ, I actually thought the film as a whole was really good.

More or less the same for me.
