Jesus, where do I even start?

I guess I could probably ask what's up with coffee? It tastes like death. If I want to jam my body full of caffeine, that's what those 5-hour energy shots are for. And those don't taste too bad.

Also I feel like I'm the only non-vegetarian in the world who doesn't like bacon. It's just edible fly strips to me.

I don't like coffee either. And of course in the US and Canada at least, it seems all functions offer coffee but not tea. Like you either want coffee or no caffeine at all.

I'm always surprsed at how many people think "tea" means chamomile or some other herbal shit. I went to a salon once where they offered me coffee, tea or water. I chose tea and then couldn't even drink it because it was so disgusting. I *think* it was chamomile but I've had chamomile before and it wasn't that horrible. Then there's the restaurants where the dish of tea packets has had all the real tea picked out of it and the waitress just stares at you blankly when you explain that you'd like regular tea. I had a dental hygenist once who was surprised tat anyone would drink tea with milk in it.

I actually like coffee, but a lot of it is brewed so badly. A lot of people are as clueless about coffee as they are about tea, the crazy thing is they keep drinking awful coffee anyway.

Chamomile actualfax tastes like urine, especially when strong. I can't imagine why people drink it apart from the medicinal effects. I certainly don't drink it just for fun.

I've almost never been somewhere where the only tea offered was herbal. As someone who avoids caffeine, my experience has been that it's a bonus to get offered herbal tea at all. Depends on where you live, I guess. (I live in a city renowned for its great coffee, I love the taste but alas, even decaf is usually too much for me.)

I do like coffee-I can't speak for anyone else's reasons for liking it, but for me, it can be a good warm drink to have on a cold day (and yes, there's hot chocolate, too, but I think the alertness coffee brings helps, too). And if one mixes in sugar and cream that can make the taste more palatable (I can have it black, but I generally put stuff in mine to add a little extra flavor).

I'm with you on bacon, though.

I love the taste of coffee, and 5 Hour Energy is like licking hell. Tastes are subjective. Shocking, I know.

This whole thread is full of subjective opinions, so your snark is pointless.

Lol don't get defensive, you can still have your coffee.

yep. + for me too. and i can't get the idea when to stop...(except at night, that's bad)

do you like your coffee mild or bitter?

5 hour energy, never try it, yet...

I drink coffee regularly, but I admit, I hate black coffee. I have to drown my coffee in cream and sugar. I think it's mostly an association of "drinking this will give me energy", plus it's a nice warm drink and in the mornings my taste buds aren't picky.

I am vegetarian, but honestly, I hated bacon when I did eat meat (and there are plenty of meats that I admit are very taste). Bacon is fried grease. Just gross. Ironically, I like the vegetarian bacon (fake-on, if you will).

I can't stand coffee, and agree that it tastes like death. Bleh.

I like bacon but I do not get the whole 'omg bacon is the best thing ever!!' mentality, like I find it tasty but it's not that great, I certainly couldn't eat it every day. I'd get sick of it.

I genuinely think coffee tastes good.

But then, I don't get why people like nacho cheese or cottage cheese, so... :P

According to my mom, I used to love cottage cheese when I was little.

Once I tried it again as an adult, I couldn't for the life of me understand why :p.

Cottage cheese tastes rancid. I've never liked it.

Of course, when I was little there were other kinds of cheese I did like that I now hate (string cheese, grilled American cheese on bread, etc.) so maybe something similar is at work? Maybe I was never introduced to cottage cheese when I was a small kid.

I'm so surprised coffee is a multibillion dollar industry. How do people drink it every day?

Dear gods, this. And everyone says 'oh, you just have to get used to the taste!!' I'm like - well, no. If it's not delicious on first sip? I ain't drinking it.
