I'm biracial--First Nations/White--my ancestors were forced into Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show and paraded around as "savages" for Europeans, which might be where they got the idea. It's gross and wrong now, but back in the 1800s it was all they had to go on. And old beliefs die hard. But as long s people today aren't doing blatantly disrespectful things like wearing headdresses or doing that "how" shit, I can't even be mad about stupid old dime store romances.

As a novelist myself, as a romance novelist, I try to include NA characters in my books. They are people with college degrees and jobs and status. And they also have wicked senses of humor and totally spout off lines like that up there frequently.

I would love to buy and read and reread your books right now.

You're a romance novelist?!?! That is SO COOL. Awesome, awesome, awesome! (Huge, HUGE, old school romance novel fan.)
