Re: Things you just don't understand why people like

I have friends that swear by it, so despite my skepticism I tried a piece, and I've never been so repulsed by a combination of flavors in my life. I love salt+sweet when it actually works (I have pretty much a perpetual hard-on for salted caramel, for instance), and I could tell that the ham+pineapple itself was an okay combo, but...ugh, throwing them on top of a tomato+mozzarella base turned the whole thing rotten. The mozzarella especially seemed affected by the pineapple, making it taste oddly sour. Which made the normally pleasantly zippy tomato sauce taste bitter.

It was just a terrible, terrible experience, and I no longer trust my friends' taste in food.
