The fact that so many of those actors went on to appear in Scrubs is weirding me out a little.

I remember Fox doing a few appearances on Scrubs, but I can't remember any of the others. (Not that I've seen every episode of Scrubs...)

I've seen every episode of Scrubs multiple times lol. Every one of those actors except the black woman and the white woman in the red dress has had a named character appearance, and nearly every one of them has also been a recurring character.

Someone in casting was clearly working for both shows or something.

I only remember the scammy drug addict, Dr Cox' old college buddy he's competitive with who has a kid with Aspergers' or whatever, and Michael J Fox

Heather Locklear played a drug rep that had a short romantic involvement with Dr. Cox, and was a recurring role.

Richard Kind played a hypochondriac, which was a recurring role.

Alan Ruck plays a patient's with a rare disease, I believe. Was not a recurring role.

Barry Bostwick plays a patient who has trouble displaying emotions. Not a recurring role.

Alexander Chaplin's role was recurring, but Michael Boatman's was only for 2 epsiodes, I believe.

Funnily enough, Boatman's I can vaguely remember after giving it some thought, the others, not so much.

Which is sad, because Spin City made me a big fan of Richard Kind, so I'm disappointed I never caught his episodes...

Oh, I didn't see Alan Ruck in the picture (and I've only seen a few episodes of Spin City). I definitely remember his character.

Also I think I mentally remembered the Barry Bostwick character as being played by John Laroquette even though he clearly wasn't. Actually maybe Barry Bostwick is just a poor man's John Laroquette in general.

Also I didn't even know Spin City was a Bill Lawrence joint until I saw it on Wikipedia just now, so it makes a lot more sense like that. Dude enjoys doing that kind of thing.

Actually, Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of Spin City and creator and head writer of Scrubs is the same guy, and he really enjoys bringing back cast members from other shows (see many of the Scrubs cast appearing on Cougar Town, and Dr Coz being one of the main characters for Ground Floor).

So, a bit similar to having the same casting person, but it was on purpose.

They're both Bill Lawrence shows.
