Re: Inspired by #4: What shows (movies, etc.) do you love but have to avoid its fandom?
Comics (DC and Marvel). I love the movies (animated and live action) but have no clue how to get into the comics.
Re: Inspired by #4: What shows (movies, etc.) do you love but have to avoid its fandom?
Same. The closet thing I did was find some free comics of a recent Lobo run online.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-25 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)Now it seems to mostly be Harry/Draco and Snarry.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-26 12:17 am (UTC)(link)I will admit there are small troves here and there for specific pairings, kaijinscendre. I'm usually on lj, looking for my current pairing, and I occasionally am gifted with a few good fics. Not much for the gen though, sorry :[

Summary: Post-DH. Draco Malfoy's coming of age did not happen when he turned 18. It did not involve the traditional party. It did not even happen in Britain. It's amazing how much one grows when one is put to work in a Bulgarian farm.
It was written as a prequel to the author's series about nextgen characters, but it stands alone on its own and I love it to pieces.

Introduction to the Invisible Book of Invisibility by snorkackcatcher
White Lies and Other Misdemeanors by AzarDarkstar
The Best Revenge by Arsinoe de Blassenville
Sine Qua Non by AzarDarkstar (WIP)
Forging the Sword by Myst Shadow (WIP)
As for browsing through genfic, you can look at omniocular or hp_holidaygen. They're not active communities anymore, though. (LOL it's LJ, why the hell do I need to say that?)

(Anonymous) 2015-10-26 02:21 am (UTC)(link)Here, read this one, I command you:

(It is an overwhelmingly big fandom. What I do is trawl through an author's favorite lists, find a story that seems promising, try it, if it seems allrightish, then check THAT author's favorite lists, rinse-and-repeat. Make it an adventure!)
