(Anonymous) 2015-10-25 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)Half because I absolutely hate the Compilation and only consider the original game to be "canon" and that's the only story I'm interested in hearing about, and half because even after nearly 20 years the fandom is still Cloud/Aeris or Cloud/Tifa, and Aeris vs Aerith, etc.

Since I hate virtually every element of the Compilation, I hate to think about it infecting the original game. I'll play it out of curiosity, and to some extent I'm sure it won't be a bad game, but it's got a lot going against it right now for me.
