Re: How To Get Away With Murder

I'm definitely enjoying season 2. I feel like we're getting to learn a little more about the characters, which is great, and I'm LOVING seeing how they're all dealing with the fallout from keeping all these secrets, and seeing what alliances are being made. We have Nate and Wes working together, Bonnie and Laurel are bonding over Frank (I'm alternately nervous for Laurel's safety in regards to that, considering what Bonnie did to Rebecca, and yet I loved the scene of them sharing drinks and kind of want more...?). And I adore Connor and Michaela's growing friendship, too.

The fallout and seeing people trying to handle keeping all these secrets is what I was hoping we'd see a lot of focus on this season, so it makes me happy that we're getting to see that.

And I'm fascinated at seeing just how dark Annalise is willing to go, too. I know some people have been turned off this season 'cause they feel the characters are getting too unlikeable but, well, first off, given the concept of the show, I think the chances of finding genuinely good and likeable characters are slim in general, and second, I think the show's trying to have us see just how far these people are willing to push the envelope before it all explodes.

And since we know what happens to Annalise in those flash forwards, I'm intrigued to see just what it is she does that pisses someone off so much that they leave her in that state. These people's actions always wind up having some sort of consequence for them down the line, after all, so it's not like I feel the show is rewarding any of the horrible things they do. Yet I also feel there's enough there to still make them stay just this side of sympathetic.

Plus, there's just some good twisty stuff happening throughout, too, with the case they're working and those flash forwards, that has me so curious :D.
