Intelligent Design literally refers to people who believe an "intelligent being" (i.e. the Abrahamic God) designed/created the universe. It IS Creationism. The term was specifically coined so US schools could teach it in science classes by giving it a more "scientific" sounding name, even though there obviously is nothing remotely scientific about it.

Go read AYRT again. They have it right. ID is one form of Creationism, but it's not the only one.
