Re: Inspired by #4: What shows (movies, etc.) do you love but have to avoid its fandom?
I guess because Haikyuu!! is a smaller fandom it's harder to avoid the wank. It's kind of odd that such a happy, uncomplicated anime and manga would inspire such headcanons, at least to the point where the people who like them think they should be universal and if you don't believe in them you're wrong. I don't get it.
The angst is something else. When I first got into the manga and anime I went looking for fic and wow was there all kinds of child abuse and non-con and depression... All I wanted was happy fic made with the tone of the series. If Tsukki was my favorite I'd be even more disappointed because you're right, he in particular can't have anything resembling happiness or even his canonical attitude.

I just want cute, IC fluff that fits the canon, damn it!
Tsukki and Kageyama are both very special cases. You'd think people watched a different show/read a different manga the way they keep portraying them as super cruel and abusive all the time. (Especially Kageyama. Tsukki can definitely be a dick at times, but Kageyama is just so adorably awkward while trying to be nice to people. How can people not see that?)
