24. I love David Tennant, but I do kind of wish they hadn't thrown away the distinguished-older-man model for the Doctor. There aren't enough distinguished older men on TV these days and it means Alan Rickman probably won't be 11 it kind of feels like they're throwing away the old values just to appeal to a modern audience. Not that I know anything about pre-Nine Who anyway. But.

41. Do we get points back if we're planning on watching the older stuff, we just haven't had time yet?

Certainly not all of them were screamers - though even generally hardy companions like Sarah Jane could let out a bloodcurdling shriek now and again - but I'm not sure even you could argue with characters like Polly or, heaven help us, Victoria "Ol' Leather-Lungs" Waterfield having any real purpose aside from bursting eardrums. XD

I wouldn't call that their model. Maybe for the first three Doctors. Then they had Four, who was anything but distinguished, and not particularly old. And then Five, who was even younger than Tennant, so there's that. Six was, what, late thirties. Seven was older. Eight was postively, what's the word they use? Byronesque? Yes, so, not much older. Four out of Ten.

Yeah. What about if you grew up watching the older stuff with your dad but you're kinda slacking on it now and don't know all the details but love all the doctors.

I must admit I giggle at the old effects and I greatly dislike Susan but Old Who is love.

Although I hate when people say that. You can be a new who fan and still be a who fan.
