I fucking love Suikoden. LOVE IT. My sister and I replay the first one every summer at least once. Each. That game rules. I don't have two, but I have three, and I love it too! Let's me and you start our own, tiny, non-furry Suikoden fandom. There used to be a woman who wrote amazing fic. I don't think I could find her again, but damn.

Two is the best one in the series imho... Viktor and Flik get a ton of back story and there's this incredibly cool cooking contest and... er...

There must be more non-furry fans out there.

I...didn't think furry Suikoden fans were the majority. In fact, I've never even seen any. I doubt one active LJ comm is what most people base their thoughts of Suikoden fans on. (Admittedly, I'm hardly active in the fandom, so I could be wrong).

And I agree, ♥ II the most.

When I was dealing with the fandom at all it was via the forums at gamefaqs, and from there to Suikosource and some of those sites, but that was years ago. But even when I was wandering around and picking up pointers for the latest game I didn't really come across the furries, so there must be a good bit of the fan base who doesn't care for kobolds.

I'm still wandering around the Suikoden forums, and frankly, I've yet to see a Suikofurry fan. Perhaps it's an LJ thing?

So basically now I have gathered to play II. Dang, I am so the definition of "casual fan" even though I love the games to pieces. :) I may actually go seek out the fandom.

Nothing wrong with being a casual fan! I roll my eyes whenever people spit out the term like it tastes bad or something.

But yes, if you can find II for non-insane prices (or if you can afford them), you really should play it.
