Becasue The English Speaking Fandom hardly knows of it! Shounen jump just translates part 3, and they are takeing their sweet time with it. the OVAS were released somewhat before Anime had a Gigantic Influx in America and those DVDs are hard to find. Ask the average American Anime Fan What JoJos is they will have no clue.

Whenever I try to convince people to read it their first reaction is
90+ Volumes!? Hell no!
or They hear condensed summarys of each part and think 'Wait....what?'

JoJo's 90+ volumes WORKS because the main character changes in each new story, and a lot of the old characters are either dead or irrelevant, allowing for a fresh restart. If it was like most shonen manga, focusing on the same people FOREVER, then yeah - 90 volumes wouldn't work.

Basically I want the JoJo fandom to be way bigger. I think some of the art may be a turnoff to fans, too - which really kills me, because I think Hirohiko Araki's stuff is so fresh and amazing. He keeps on putting out new, different spins on things. :/

Man. JoJo. Why aren't you as big here as you are in Japan. You such a good shonen manga.

People just dont want top read that sheer number of volumes though >=| Its not like all the fights drag on for 30 chapters! Hell Antagonists are lucky if they get 7 or 8 on an average!

Hirohiko Araki is Amazeing ;_; people don't see his genius, I dont know why- maybe the FABULOUS? People need more Fabulous in their everyday lives anyway.
I think the world would be a better place if everyone wore Brightly colored Halter tops and Unmatching Lipstick! Then again....i'm probably crazy.

No, no, I think it's that the FABULOUS is also MANLY fabulous. Araki's tendency to mesh that FABULOUS/European Styling (specifically Italy, he fucking loves that country) with big, BIG men. It... sort of only appeals to a small niche here in America, I guess.

I DON'T KNOW. Mabye becasue its one of the first big series to air on TV in America and New fans don't know whats good or Not. Seriously Takahashis Works have gotten exponentially worse over here career! I LOVE Urusei Yatsura. But after that I noticed her idea were getting....ridiculous or repeating themselves until she tried to do 'Shounen' and FAILED miserably.

A majority of Fangirl do not appreciate Men that do not look like 12 year old girls or Yellow crotchless pants.
