that I can't really speak to. I went agnostic myself but I also came into it very late in life in the first place, and grew naturally out of it. I wouldn't be surprised if the indoctrination and the cultural insulation that happens to kids raised in that subculture causes a harsher backlash once they get out and realize what they've been missing. But at the same time there's no real way to say one way or the other how people's take on atheism relates to prior theism.
