Do you have a vacuum? If so, get one of those cheap, shitty flea collars- the ones with the toxic horrible chemicals all over them. Don't put it on your dog (it's truly terrible for them), instead cut it up and stick it in a fresh vacuum bag. Vacuum your house every other day, including bedding and mattresses.

This in combination with a good flea medication should stop any infestation in its tracks.

No. It creates a killing chamber in the vacuum bag instead of a breeding environment. It's an old trick, and it works.

Only if you have a vacuum without a filter. The shit on those collars is a nonvolatile particulate.
