No, they're talking about the animation being '3D', as in computer-generated models and such, as seen in Frozen, Tangled, and Pixar films. 2D movie = traditional hand-drawn animation, like The Princess and the Frog.

Oh, okay. I had no idea. I haven't seen Tangled or Frozen and the little clips I've seen didn't look all the different to me than most (i kinda thought most of them were computer rendered now, anyway....)
