Re: I can't believe I did that

(Anonymous) 2015-10-30 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
On an weekend trip to a high school band competition, we went to a restaurant for dinner and some of the seniors brought a video camera and went around interviewing people. I was extremely shy and didn't want to be interviewed, so when they got to me I thought for some reason the best way to get them to go away and delete my footage would be to give rude answers. I don't even remember why I thought that (usually I was terrified of doing the slightest thing that might make someone dislike me, anyway. Maybe I was just that nervous).

But not only did they not delete the footage of me, they made DVDs of everything they filmed on the trip, which they showed during rehearsal and distributed to everyone in the band. 40 people saw me acting like a sulky five-year-old on camera, and a lot of them probably still have that footage. If any of them are reading this, I'm so sorry for any secondhand embarrassment I gave you.
