49. Amen! I do love the J-pop, but I always love the actual soundtracks much more. Especially Yoko Kanno. I worship Yoko Kanno.

54. I say go for it. I'm not a furry at all, but I do love making fursuits of anime mascot characters (ie, Pikachu, Akamaru from Naruto, Teto from Nausicaa) and I have a blast doing it. I occasionally get the stupid "LOL furry" responses, but most of the time people love my costumes and are super-enthusiastic about them.

Thanks. People have been surprisingly supportive of my secret. I'm kind of surprised. I'd love to make one of Teto! He's so cute! And it's mostly anime mascots that I'd want to cosplay, anyway, like Teto or Totoro or the Pipe Fox from xxxHolic. I guess I'd just have to endure the "LOL furry" garbage, but if it's a costume I'm proud of, I could deal with it.

With mascot costumes that are recognizable, I think people tend to be a lot more lenient than just random animal costumes. I really think you should go for it if it'll make you happy! I feel a bit self conscious about the fact that I cosplay animals sometimes (mostly because of the furry stigma), but then again it makes me happy, I love making the costumes, and I have a blast wearing them! So there's no reason for me to stop, even if I get stupid furry-related comments over my costumes every now and then. I usually just tell the person outright, "I'm not a furry. I'm cosplaying an anime mascot."

Teto was a tough costume to make, but I adore it. I have it sitting a few feet away from me right now, actually! Here's a few pictures, though these aren't very good ones, unfortunately. I need to do a decent photoshoot one of these days so I can show it off better. D:
