54. There are some cool mascot characters I would love to cosplay, but I'm afraid of the jeers. I'm not a furry either. D= I wish I was strong enough to not care. But I am 100% BEHIND YOU, OP. GO FOR IT.

54. You should join me in my mascot cosplaying! In my experience "LOL furry" comments at anime conventions are actually fairly rare (though they do happen every now and then), and even if someone does think it's lame, it's not as though they'll know who you are outside of the costume anyway. >D

It's FUN cosplaying mascot characters, and the vast majority of people have responses more akin to "OMG YOU'RE ADORABLE--CAN I HAVE A HUG? CAN I TAKE A PICTURE WITH YOU? YOUR COSTUME IS AWESOME!"

I mean, yeah, I get a little self-conscious about it sometimes, too. It's understandable. Still! It's so much fun. ♥

Yes! I could help you with your costume construction, too, if you wanted! I mean, you don't have to do it right away, but if you want to do it, it would be awesome to have another mascot person to hang out with. What mascots were you thinking of doing?

I'm doing Densuke and Boota for Fanime this year. XD

Hmmmm, I don't know any that I have in mind yet... I probably wouldn't be able to get any done this year anyway, but maybe next year... =D
