No, I think it largely is through volunteering and running better, more progressive candidates in primaries. I think that needs to be done in house races and in senate races and in every other downballot race - regardless of Bernie Sanders or not.

But my point is, you know, America is not in this situation because the left has had insufficient self-confidence. It's not like all we needed was a little moxy, a little vim and vigor, a little self-belief, and hey presto, everything's better! We're in this situation for a lot of reasons, and you can't wish shit like the extremely conservative beliefs of much of the country or the profound corruption of our political system away.

Also I am legitimately terrified of electing another Republican president as a result of which I am very leery about taking risks regarding the Presidential race specifically.
