Dude, if you spend so much time and energy fretting over a scenario that is entirely in your own mind - (you are not a psychic, you cannot predict the future, and we filter everything through our own subjective lenses) - then I am seriously suggesting you get tested for depression.

Not even joking, I used to think in a similar way to you (It's called catastrophizing), and I was suicidal.

I have been diagnosed with depression, thank you. Also OCD and anxiety. I am aware that I am fucked in the head, which is why I don't go around babbling about our imminent doom to people. I just wanted to get this damn thought off my chest just for once, and this thread seemed appropriate.

You're not alone in your belief. Survival of the fittest is actually a good thing for the species as a whole. Yeah, it sucks on an individual level, but sometimes it really is about the greater good.
