Don't think anyone in my family would care. I don't really see there being major obstacles tbh even if we were to get serious. He doesn't come from a really super different sub-culture from mine as far as I can tell now. As for his family, I've only met his mom once, but she seems to like me, and she knows we went out and is ok with it.
Interestingly, apparently he has a preference for white women, whereas I don't think of myself as having any kind of racial preference at all.
I'm certainly not in a place, in terms of where I live and the people I interact with, where an interracial relationship would be really controversial or a big deal, though in some circles it might be unusual. Nobody would make a stink about it though I don't think. (If they did, I'd be pretty disappointed...)
I've gone on dates with other guys of different races before (black and Latino), but the only two guys I've been in relationships with are white, so I have not actually had that particular experience, at any rate.
