I'm not surprised if they do.

I've seen websites dedicated to some of the weirdest celebrity obsessions (and yes, I would count "hate" as an obsession), such as counting down when some female child celebrity will be legal. If you visit pages that report on celeb news, there's always a wave of nasty, demeaning insults in the comments. Humans always show their ugliness around an easy target. A death pool is just taking it up a notch.

I've seen death pools, but they were always of the gallows-humor game variety, NEVER as a "let's actually gamble on this" thing.
