(Anonymous) 2015-11-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)"Gook" is a slur, that might be what they're referring to.
gook
noun, Slang: Extremely Disparaging and Offensive.
1. a contemptuous term used to refer to a native of Southeast Asia or the South Pacific, especially a member of an enemy military force.
2. a contemptuous term used to refer to any dark-skinned foreigner, especially a non-European or non-American.
3. anyone who is offensive to others because of stupidity, coarseness, etc.
Origin
1915-20; of uncertain orig; compare earlier googoo, gugu, as contemptuous term for a Filipino, and perhaps comparable relationship of kook to cuckoo
Usage note
The earliest recorded uses of this term were by U.S. Marines when referring to Haitians and Filipinos. It continued to be common slang in the American military, especially during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Uh, okay?
(Anonymous) 2015-11-05 02:41 am (UTC)(link)I was just pointing out what issue the anon who read it as a slur might have. Gobbledygook isn't a common word and isn't commonly seen, so anon above may just automatically associate it because they've seen/heard the slur a lot more. Like if you used spic_n_span as a user name, someone would probably associate it with Spic, while the phrase has nothing to do with the slur. There's nothing wrong with either the person with the user name or the one who associates it with the slur. Anon above only pointed out the association, they didn't demand anything be done about it.
