It's been three sessions. Ask her. If she's good she'll explain why in a way you can understand.

One of the things about talk therapy however is the talking. Also:

Therapists don't fix your problems. They help you fix your own. I'm worried you're looking for a pat solution where there really isn't one.

As someone who's had to deal with depression: it's a slog. And sometimes the slog doesn't end. You get way more efficient at slogging, though. Hang in there.
