Is there really that much shit to stir with Lloyd Webber fans? I'm not sure I know any personally who don't acknowledge he's a plagiarizing hack and go on liking some of his music regardless. Like, I'm a Phantom fangirl from way back, but he's said some insulting as fuck things about the phandom as a whole, so there's a lot of reasons not to like his public persona as well as his work.

No dog in this fight (I don't really like much of Webber's stuff), but frankly his comments on Phantom fans are painfully accurate, so I can't even fault him for that. Broadway fandom is fucking insane, and Phantom is the creme de la crazy.

I don't even like Webber myself, but I tend to view "I HATE THIS MASSIVELY POPULAR THING BECAUSE I KNOW BETTER THAN ALL YOU PLEBES" opinions as shit-stirring, yes.
