Fuck Gen X and fuck the Boomers. Fuck the "Greatest Generation" too.

:(

I like the Greatest Generation. Their time is one of the interesting periods in recent history for me, and has produced much of my favourite literature.

(No argument about Baby Boomers and Gen X, though.)

Everyone blames Baby Boomers for running this country into the ground, but the truth is they built from the groundwork laid by the GG and the politicians they elected.

I blame them far, far more than the Boomers. I don't even really blame the Boomers as a generation for anything.

"Oh, our kids aged out of school and now we don't need all those schools we built? Let's tear 'em down! Oh wait, our kids had kids and now there are lots of kids again? Cram 'em into the schools we still have."

"These highways we are building are just right for the current number of cars on the road. Let's have lots of kids, encourage them to buy cars, and further dismantle and stigmatize public transit! What could possibly go wrong?"
