How about Baby Boomers need to get over the fact that technology fucking exists. It's not going to go away because they want it too. It's not making people maladjusted or fucked up by it's mere existence. I have a younger sibling born in 2003 and now the kids' a straight A overachiever.

Just saying this because dammit this technophobia is starting to get on my nerves. The other day I saw pictures of signs posted around a town saying "this is a tech free zone" threatening a $300 fine for using phones or tablets. Including one in a store

Why should someone be charged $300 for using the phone to possibly be talking to a boss, a parent or dealing with a family emergency because of one person's discomfort and nostalgia. It's entitled is what it is.

"You can't use your tech or answer the phone here because my feelings"

Yeah hope you like no business.

Whut?

Like I can understand in a theater or whatever - but in a whole TOWN?

It was various places through out the town. A few were roadsides (understandably obviously) but others were like coffee places.

I find this baffling. And I'm not even such a techy person.
