I regret doing it the way that I did it.

If I could do it again: I'd take a year off and travel. Sure, I had no money, but I also had no debt. I'd write. Maybe I'd write a travel memoir/blog, but I'd work really seriously on writing for publication. Then I'd enroll and major in English/writing from the start.
