I'll be honest, I forgot it was on and only caught the last couple of minutes. So all I can say is the Zygons lost due to the power of angsty speechifying. I was wrong about all of last week being set up for this week. based on what I saw, all of last week and most of this week was setup for an episode that never got broadcast and all happened offscreen sometime. Way to go Moffat. You suck. Oh, and we are back up to two Osgoods and lots and lots of mind rape. Honestly, I don't actually feel I missed out on anything despite missing out on everything bar the last few minutes.

In fairness to the Moff, angsty speechifying is one of the major plot resolutions for Doctor Who as a genre in general, so

Yes, but more so. This was more egregious than the time Ben Aaronovitch had the Doctor speechify a Dalek to death because the script had ran out of time and budget.
