Also, different partners work differently. Think of it like video games; the buttons on the controller are the same for every game, but each game maps them differently, has different rhythms and combos and style. And as you learn each new game, those controls become muscle memory, so the instant you hear the theme music you remember how to do duck-jump-punch-punch-kick with the right timing.

So if your play style sucks at one game, try some others. And pay attention to what you're doing so you're not just mashing buttons.
