Basically, some people use "can" as a non-modal verb meaning roughly "to be able to respond to a situation adequately, to use something in an efficient way". Thus, you get sentences like "I can't even", "I can't words", and "I've lost all ability to can".

You kind of forget that there's a perfectly normal non-modal verb "to can" meaning something entirely different...
