I wear overnight pads as a precaution, personally.

I do that too. I just hate when it's so heavy that there are moments I can feel it pouring out and I'm stuck in the lab hoping my precautions were good enough.

God yes, so much hate. But just think, in a couple of decades all that will be over, and you can have hot flashes instead.

Or in a few decades you can be pre-menopausal and have heavy periods and hot flashes. I do love being a woman, but sometimes Mother Nature makes it unbearable.

Oh yeah, that was me for a year or so. Never dared to go out of the house without a giant bag of tampons and pads, because sometimes I'd soak a super-sized tampon and a hospital-sized pad in under an hour. Fun times.

OH GOD that reminds me of my teenage years. Got my period at 12.5 years of age and those first 5 years were heavy flow. >:( Thankfully it calmed down.
