This cheesy Australian show called Ocean Girl. It was about these kids who moved with their scientist mom to this underwater science-y facility near the Great Barrier Reef, and then they meet this girl living alone on a desert island. She's really good at swimming, and seems to have vaguely supernatural powers, and then she turns out to be an alien.
