They actually made Bruce more sympathetic in the Under the Red Hood movie.

Bruce is such a dick to Jason in the comics it's unbelievable. He calls him his biggest failure. THis kid died trying to save his mom and Bruce calls him his greatest failure. Bruce will save the joker from dying but thinks Jason's morally abhorrent for killing an assassin in self defense. FUckin Bruce man.

I know! Jason is the character I have latched onto because I can't stand Batman not wanting to kill the bad guys. "If you kill them, you become them." NO YOU LOONY! IF YOU KILL THEM YOU STOP THEM FROM ESCAPING AND KILLING HUNDREDS MORE PEOPLE!
