Re: I'm scared of getting official depression diagnose (tw: talk about suicide)

(Anonymous) 2015-11-09 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
The way you're talking, it is most definitely NOT "all in your head." You're suicidal. That's pretty damn symptomatic of depression, and the entire rest of your post sounds like my thinking when I was depressed.

An official diagnosis is a GOOD thing, OP, because then it means you can start doing something about it, and look to a future where you don't have to feel this way anymore!

The worst thing that can happen if you continue to let your depression go untreated? Suicide. Death. No longer existing. Being an ex-parrot.

Please don't let that happen to yourself, OP. Take care of yourself! There are websites out there, such as 7cupsoftea, that offer therapy or at least someone to chat to, if you don't have the $$ right now. There are also lots of tips out there online from people who are depressed for ways they combat depressive symptoms.

Look up cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, as well. No doubt there are online thought journals, apps and the like, which can offer that function.
